Melons
Sanllo

Of unknown origin, they have been cultivated since ancient times in the Eastern Mediterranean region. Their shape and colour vary depending on the variety.

Varieties

Yellow

This variety is also known as canary melon or golden melon and has a uniform yellow colour on the outside. Internally the flesh can vary from a light pale green to creamy white.

Green

This melon variety is possibly the sweetest and has a higher water content than the other varieties. It is also known as toad skin melon because of its characteristic colour.

Galia

This variety developed in 1970 by Zvi Karchi in Israel is the result of a cross between the Cantalupe and Honedew varieties. With a rough and striated skin, it comes from the first variety, its flesh is of an intense green colour that melts in the mouth.

Cantaloup

Very similar in shape and size to the Galia variety, we will give you two tips to differentiate them. Cantaloup is sweeter, its interior is a soft orange colour and on the outside it has green lines drawn as meridians.

Charentais

Also known as French melon, it has a spherical shape like the Galia and Cantaloup varieties. Its name refers to the territory where it grows, the French region of Charente. Its skin is very smooth and its interior is smooth and creamy.
